A Special Deepavali !

This is a special Deepavali,

Because somewhere someone is mourning a loss,

While someone else is bearing its cost.

Someone close has lost a job,

While their close ones are crying out loud.

Many have lost their dreams,

While others are scared to dream.

Empty chairs and silent prayers,

Are speaking to us lucky champs,

Light another diya for us,

Buy another gift for us,

Spend time with your loved ones,

And make amends with the hated ones,

Since Life is short, and you may never get another one!

To all the lucky ones who have managed to stay afloat, this Deepawali, make sure you buy those diyas and those gifts, because you are going to put a smile on someone’s place. Don’t just send those forward messages but make an effort to call people. Show compassion, empathy and appreciation. Because in the grand scheme of things, we are just the lucky champs!
